小口理英(おぐちりえ)

5歳からクラシックピアノを習う。
音楽運動療法士の母と、歌好きで研究熱心な薬理学博士の父のもと、ピアノだけでなく歌や作曲にも興味を惹かれるほど音楽に深く慣れ親しみ、音楽家に憧れて育つ。
ジャズを聴くのが特に好きだったが、サックスを始めて初めて吹いたのは大学入学後であったが、アルトサックスとジャズの音楽性に心酔し、サキソフォニストとしてミュージシャンに転向することを決める。
2004年 アルトサックスを本間将人、ジャズボーカルをさがゆきに師事。
2005年 ジャズボーカルとして都内ライブハウス(新宿J,曙橋フィルイン)でソロ活動を始める。
2007年 母校大学の学園祭のテーマソングを製作し、採用される。自ら歌った録音が学園祭のテーマソングとなり、学園祭期間中に大学で自分の曲が流れ、opening&closing actをつとめる。
2009年インディーズのJazzメタルバンド[ヱスシリィズ]のボーカル、作詞作曲を担当しAlbum[履歴書]リリース。Disc Unionで発売し、好評を得る。同年より、House music DJ TAKESHI DJ Amandaとユニットを組み、深夜のクラブでサックスプレイヤーとして活動する。
2012年 奨学金を得てBerklee College of Musicへ留学。
ジムオドグレン、ハルクルック、ジョージガゾーンに楽器の奏法を師事。授業ではジャズ、ポップス、ビッグバンドの作曲、アレンジ、録音、ゲーム音楽の作曲などを幅広く学び、 卒業して2014年に帰国。バンド「Beyond to CINEMA」「わようさんぼん(倭踊三煩)」の編曲家として年間50曲以上のアレンジ楽曲を提供。
同年 東京ドームシティホールにて株式会社エステティック・イブ主催「第29回イブステージ」でopening actを務める。
2015年 お台場・有明フロンティアビル前特設ステージにて「日本乳癌学会主催RUN & WALK 」の応援performerとして演奏。
2016年5月 フリーランスとして独立。活動の幅を新潟、山口、島根、名古屋、岐阜、韓国、米国にまで広げ、フェスや学会での出演を含め年間50回のライブ演奏を行う。同年 自身が参加するバンドの1st Album「Beyond to CINEMA / The First Episode」を自らプロデュースし、発売。また、Berklee時代のピアニストSong Ah Chaeの参加するバンドでゲスト出演し、韓国での初ライブを成功させる。11月～ 「ミス・ユニバースJAPAN岐阜大会」決勝、準決勝のopening act としてステージで演奏
2017年muse RIOGUを登記し音楽事業の幅を広げる。個人レッスン、作詞作曲指導やリトミックレッスンを本格的に始動、演奏家としても、アルバム「Beautiful Standards / 小口理英＆島末幸子」を発売し、演奏活動の場を広げた。
このアルバム販売の際にAmazonやiTunesしたことをきっかけに、ダウンロードや配信としての音楽の価値を重視するようになり、以降レコーディングや作曲、DTMなどにこだわり、作詞作曲や演奏活動だけでなく商品として音楽を販売をすることに力を入れている、2020年新型感染症の騒動でライブ活動がなかなかできなくなったことで自身の活動としてYoutube動画の制作やオーディオストックなどでのBGMの販売などに重きを置いた活動をしている。
BIOGRAPHY
A jazz musician, saxophonist, vocalist and composer, arranger Rie Oguchi, from Tokyo Japan, whose experience of music has been since she was 5 years old, she started to play classic piano.
After she entered college of medicine, since she was 20 years old, has played Alto saxophone, in jazz, funk, j-pop, j-fusion and gospel style. In 2004, she started her chareer as a musician in Tokyo, also studied music deeply under Yuki Saga (Jazz Vocalist), Masato Honma (Saxophonist).
In 2008, her composition won in the college competition and the tune was adopted as theme song of College Festival in 2008. In 2009, "ES-series" released 2nd album, which she joined as a singer, saxophonist, composer, arranger, and songwriter.
In 2010, she started to play in club music with House DJ and start compose by garage band, and Logic, then getting interested in MIDI programing.
In 2012, she entered Berklee College Of Music in Boston, US. She studied jazz improvisation under Jim Odgren, Hal Crook and George Gazone, also she studied small band arranging, Big band arranging, Jazz composision, DAW, and Video Game Music Scoring.
In 2014, she graduated Berklee professional music diploma, went back to Japan, She started to work both as a doctor and a musician.
In 2016 independence as a freelance for both music and medical doctor, played live activities at many place to Niigata, Yamaguchi, Shimane, Nagoya, Gifu, Korea and the United States, and performed live performances 50 times a year, including festivals and academic performances. In the same year she produced and released the first album "Beyond to CINEMA / The First Episode" of her own band. In addition, guest appeared in the band participating in pianist Song Ah Chae of Berklee friend, making the first live performance in Korea successful. November, "Miss Universe JAPAN Gifu Competition" Finals, played on stage as opening act of semifinals
In 2017 registered her label named "muse RIOGU" and released "Beautiful Standards / Rie Oguchi & Sachiko Shimasue" and expanded the place of live performance. started her music business; composer, arranger, live performance, private lessons, songwriting instructor, and rhythmic lessons, as a musician.
